Our Prince of Peace Bold Cutting Edge Threads

by Karmaloop Rep Code

From the same designer that brought us those fabulous Gold Saturn turbands now comes a full range collection of women’s threads in bold cutting-edge styles – Our Prince of Peace.

Created by 26-year-old Cuban-American designer David Jon Acosta, Our Prince of Peace (O.P.O.P.) was first conceived as a scarf line which quickly developed into a fun collection of clothing for the cool girls in town.

The brand name comes from the Bible, where Jesus is referred to as the Prince of Peace. Fashion has always been a savior to Acosta, and his Our Prince of Peace line is dedicated to all those girls who consider style as an honest means of expression and whose bible is written by the likes of Anna Wintour. Our Prince of Peace Ladies WearInspiration

Acosta loves all things vintage – ashtrays, books, jewelry, t-shirts, tchotchkes, and just about anything old. Miami is a great place to find these vintage treasures, specifically in flea markets.

Entirely manufactured in Miami Beach, Our Prince of Peace is infused with the local spirit, created for the girl who loves the beach, listens to classic rock, and puts flowers in her hair. The O.P.O.P. customer appreciates bold color combos and isn’t afraid to stand out in the crowd.

Though his signature cheeky graphics are absent from the O.P.O.P. collection, Acosta’s 1970s aesthetic is still very much present. American flag motifs, rainbow colored tie dye, and groovy tribal prints bring you back to the days of Hendrix and Joplin. An array of wearable, easy to mix-and-match separates make day-to-night transition a breeze. And with a fresh crop of festival and vacation-friendly dresses, tops, bottoms, and accessories, you probably won’t catch someone else in the same threads.

Using South Beach, Native American culture, and world religions as his inspiration, Acosta offers scarves with pompoms, snake print body con skirts, skinny pants in metallics, and geometric print bandeaus. Each item easily blends with your current spring wardrobe.
