Diamond Supply Co Street Fashion Skate Quality

by Karmaloop Rep Code

Diamond Supply Co. began in 1998 as a skate hardware shop. Today it is one of the biggest names in street skateboarding fashion, offering a wide range of skate apparel, footwear and accessories.

Diamond Supply was created by skateboarder and designer Nick Tershay, also known as Nick Diamond. Skating for different companies, Nick would always come up with ideas that ultimately became bestsellers but never got paid for them. One day while tinkering with his skateboard, he figured out a way to improve the bolts by adding two Allen keys, one for the screw and an Allen key hole for the actual nut. These bolts became the stepping stone of what is now Diamond Supply Co.

Nike collaboration

Nick Diamond has gained worldwide recognition and celebrity stardom for his cutting-edge tee shirt designs and sneaker collaboration with Nike.

The Nike SB Tiffany helped push the Diamond brand to the next level. It was the hottest sneaker release in 2005 – with plenty of sneakerheads from around the world camping out in front of stores days before the shoe came out. It is said that this shoe was the most hyped and sought after shoe in Nike history.

Although Diamond Supply is geared towards skateboarding, people from outside the sport identified with it because of the diamond logo. Diamond Supply shirts and caps became the talk of the town for their catchy designs and unique twist on street-skate looks.

Today the Diamond Supply diamond logo is easily recognizable, and is seen on the streets and at skate parks across the US and beyond.

Diamond Supply Co. is known for having one of the best skateboarding teams in the world. Names such as Eric Koston, Paul Rodriguez, Stevie Williams, Terry Kennedy, Bob Burnquist, and Kareem Campbell are just some of the skateboarding elite who have represented the brand. Diamond Supply Co. skateboard clothing has also been worn by superstar rappers such as Lil Wayne, Tony Yayo and Lupe Fiasco.

Now on its 14th year, Diamond Supply is still on the upswing. The company recently bought a 23,000 square-foot facility in Los Angeles to house its production, sales, marketing, inventory, and even a mini ramp bowl to skate in all under one roof.
